An old phone in Leo's drawer lights up with a message: do not take the final exam, or you will die. It claims to be from his best friend Max, ten years in the future, who was convicted of Leo's murder after Leo fell from the old clock tower and has only just been released from prison. Leo calls it a sick joke, until the texts reveal secrets only Max could know and predict that afternoon's pop quiz down to the cheat sheet under a classmate's desk.
